Fear Self Portrait- Abuse Project

Chicago, Illinois
Polaroid Land Camera 101 // Fujifilm fp-300b and fc-100c

Last week I signed up for Latitude's Critique Group and within the first meeting I left so inspired to work on this project. This is a self portrait taken with in my Polaroid Land Camera expressing my fear and consent struggle any survivor has to deal with every day. Although therapy and the support of my loved ones is helpful I can't help to feel I'm still fighting, still trying to protect myself from what I have experienced. I still have to choose which portrait will be used for the project but I wanted you all to see my favorite shots.

Rogers Park

Chicago, Illinois
Polaroid 660 // Impossible Project 600

Ben and I have been living in Rogers Park for just over a month now, not only do we both love our new home but I know we are more in love than ever before. It's the mornings on the couch before he goes to work, him waking me up with kisses as he gently rubs my back, and weekends feel like mini vacations. I'm so thankful to have found someone who makes me feel more like myself and fills my days with love and support.
